Adult clay night is on hold
About
Living in the Pacific Northwest, I’m inspired by the Douglas Fir and Big Leaf Maple forests, the gardens and pastures of our small farm, the nearby coastline and beaches. I work at recreating and reimagining the textures, colors, and patterns around me.
My work uses many types of clay - earthenware, terra cotta, stoneware, and porcelain, along with glass, oxides, stains, and many different glazes, all layered in ever changing combinations. The main method of firing is in an electric kiln with raku adventures as weather allows.
With a BFA and MA in Art Education from Arizona State University and over 20 years experience teaching students ranging in age from toddlers to seniors, I teach classes focusing on building ceramic skills and knowledge and then creating ones own style.
I hope you find something here that inspires you!
